Sirius Gas Fitters PTFE Tape

Good for all gases, BS6974 and BGC IM/16 approved.

For water plumbing applications. Thread sealing tape to BS7786 and WRC approvals.Not suitable for use on gas pipework.

Faithfull gas quality P.T.F.E (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape will provide a gas, air and water tight seal on threaded joints. This invaluable tape is an essential component when working on gas pipework. Suitable for use on BS21 threads up to 50mm (2in). It is non-adhesive, no need for messy compounds. It won’t harden or dry out and is resistant to cracking, impermeable to ?20 bar and performs a lubricating function. Used in the plumbing and heating industries for sealing pipes, conduits, bolts, valves and threaded gas lines that carry all common gases such as air, oxygen, ammonia, butane, chlorine and hydrogen, and liquids such as water, propylene glycol, kerosene and diesel. This tape satisfies BGC IM/16 and is tested to EN751-3:1997. Supplied as a pack of 10 rolls.Additional Information:
